# Try This Now

Once your EP1 is connected, try this quick test:

1. In Home Assistant, go to **Settings → Devices & Services → ESPHome**
2. Click on your EP1 device
3. Find the **Occupancy** sensor
4. Walk in front of the sensor and watch the state change from "Clear" to "Detected"

If the state changes when you move, your EP1 is working correctly!
