How to update LD2450 Firmware
Follow these steps to update the firmware on your LD2450 sensor.
Enable the mmWave Bluetooth entity
Before updating, make sure the mmWave Bluetooth entity is enabled in Home Assistant:
Open Home Assistant.
Navigate to Settings > Devices & Services.
Locate the mmWave Bluetooth entity and enable it if it is disabled.
Update the firmware using the HLKRadarTool app
Install the HLKRadarTool app:
Stand near the EPL device.
Open the HLKRadarTool app and connect to the LD2450 sensor.
Update the firmware to version 2.04.23101915 or later.
If the HLKRadarTool app crashes on iOS, use RadarTools instead.
Disable the mmWave Bluetooth entity (Optional)
After updating, you can disable the mmWave Bluetooth entity to prevent unauthorized access:
Open Home Assistant.
Navigate to Settings > Devices & Services.
Toggle the mmWave Bluetooth entity off.
If the entity is no longer needed, you can disable it entirely.
