mmWave Sensors
The Pro includes two mmWave radar sensors for comprehensive coverage:
Sensor | Type | Range | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
DFRobot SEN0609 | Static presence | Up to 25m | Detecting stationary people |
HiLink LD2450 | Tracking | Up to 6m | Real-time position tracking, zones |
Both sensors work together via the combined Occupancy entity for reliable presence detection.
PIR Motion Sensor
A passive infrared (PIR) sensor provides instant motion detection for fast light-on response.
Environmental Sensors
Sensor | Measurement | Notes |
|---|---|---|
BH1750 | Illuminance (lux) | Accurate ambient light measurement |
SHTC3 | Temperature & Humidity | See important note below |
Temperature & Humidity Accuracy The Pro packs significant processing power into a compact enclosure. This generates heat that affects the temperature and humidity readings. Combined with typical ceiling/corner mounting where heat naturally collects, these readings may not reflect actual room conditions. These sensors are included for users who may find them useful despite limitations, but should not be relied upon for accurate climate control.
Optional CO2 Module
Everything Presence Pro with optional CO2 module installed
A separate SCD40 CO2 sensor module can be purchased and connected for air quality monitoring. When installed, it enables:
CO2 concentration readings (ppm)
Environmental LED mode showing air quality
Manual calibration option
Connectivity Options
Ethernet/PoE
The Pro supports wired ethernet via the LAN8720 chip:
10/100 Mbps ethernet
Power over Ethernet (PoE) support
More reliable than WiFi for permanent installations
Ideal for ceiling-mounted deployments
WiFi
Standard WiFi connectivity is also supported:
2.4 GHz WiFi
Easy setup via improv
Good for locations without ethernet access
Bluetooth Proxy
When enabled via firmware variant, the Pro can act as a Bluetooth proxy for Home Assistant, extending your BLE device range.
Relay Output
Alarm panel screw terminal connections
The Pro includes a solid-state relay output accessible via screw terminals:
Normally Open (NO) by default, Normally Closed (NC) also available — configurable in Home Assistant
Rating: Check your specific installation requirements
Trigger Modes:
Disabled (manual control only)
Motion Only (triggers on PIR)
Presence Only (triggers on occupancy)
Motion or Presence (triggers on either)
Common uses:
Alarm panel integration
Direct light switching
HVAC control
Physical Connections
Main Connector
The primary connector provides power and communication:
Ethernet jack (with PoE support)
Or USB-C for WiFi-only setups
Screw Terminal Block
For alarm panel and relay connections:
Alarm relay output terminals Alarm terminals are connected to a single pole solid state relay with configurable contact type (Normally Open or Normally Closed, selectable in Home Assistant). Our configuration is 'volt free' or 'dry contact'. Maximum load current is 75mA at 60V. The solid state relay we use is a IXYS CPC1006N. The relay is controlled from GPIO 12. The default contact type is Normally Open (NO).
Tamper terminals The Tamper terminals are directly connected to a mechanical push button. The tamper switch is a normally open, volt free configuration. The switch contacts are closed when the case is closed (healthy state).
Power input terminals An external 9 - 28V power supply can be used to power the Pro. Dual power supplies are supported but remember to observe best practice and only connect with the power switched off. When both External and PoE power are connected, PoE power has priority.
LED Indicators
RGB Status LED
A programmable RGB LED (SK6812) can show:
Presence status
Environmental conditions (CO2 levels)
Custom colors via automation
See LED Modes & Customization for details
ESP32 Status LED
A secondary status LED indicates device connectivity state.
Mounting Options
Standard Desktop/Shelf Mount
The Pro can be placed on any flat surface pointing toward the detection area.
Ceiling Mount Accessory
An optional 3D-printed ceiling mount case allows:
Flush ceiling or wall mounting
Clean PoE cable routing
Professional installation appearance
Ideal for permanent deployments
The ceiling mount STL files are available on Printables for free, or you can purchase a pre-printed mount from the shop.
